The reset codes provided allowed us to access the system, so we were able to create an additional admin account and connect the application to the hardware. We still can't reset the original admin password, but we do have the requisite access, so satisfaction has been achieved.

The tech service was good. The tech was familiar with the problem and quick to suggest a fix that seems to have resolved the issue. However, the issue, cameras randomly dropping off the DVR, wasn't a problem in the configuration or installation. It was apparently a common problem in the DVR. The IC Realtime DVR, which includes an on-board 8-port PoE switch, apparently can't actually power 8 PoE cameras. All are IC Realtime cameras. The DVR, after being reset, would display all 8 cameras for a day or 2 and then would lose one of the cameras. A reset would restore all cameras temporarily. The fix was to add an exterior PoE switch, put the cameras on the external switch, and then link to the DVR's switch. The tech was very quick to suggest this, and it seems to have fixed the problem.
