What is Orchid Fusion?
Orchid Fusion is an on-site Video Management Software that connects with IP cameras across unlimited locations. Fusion provides a dynamic browser-based user interface to manage all of your cameras and recordings in a single spot, while saving footage on a local server.
What is Orchid Hybrid?
Orchid Hybrid is a combination of on-site and Cloud Video Management Software. Manage all of your cameras and video in the cloud and store the footage on a local server with cloud access, all while connecting unlimited cameras across multiple locations using a browser interface.
What hardware is available?
Steelfin Servers are available in four different levels to accommodate all project requirements.
SteelFin Servers use surveillance grade hard-drives and are custom built to support your specific video retention and camera resolution requirements.
How many locations does Orchid Hybrid support?
Orchid Hybrid supports unlimited locations and is currently deployed across National and Global accounts with thousands of locations and tens of thousands of cameras.
What sort of authentication methods do you support?
For Orchid Core there is local authentication only. (Your typical username and password setup).
How do you manage users and user permissions?
Orchid Core has the ability to create Viewers, Live Viewers, Managers and Administrators. This enables rights and roles that differentiate on who can view, download and manage the cameras on any Orchid Core device.
How many locations does Orchid VMS support?
Orchid Core supports one location, but Orchid Fusion and Hybrid can support unlimited locations, and is currently deployed across National and Global accounts with thousands of locations and tens of thousands of cameras.
How does Orchid decode video in the browser?
Orchid uses a technology called WebRTC to swiftly transmit, encrypt and decode video through the browser without the need for a plug-in.
